The Carolina Cardinals is an organization of girls fastpitch softball teams ranging in ages from 10U to 18U. The organization is managed by ASA Hall of Honor Inductee, Ray Chandler. Ray also coaches the 18U team which has been in existence for over 20 years. He has never strayed from the simple philosophy of hard work and dedication can make your dreams come true.

The teams are comprised of girls from North Carolina who have a desire to succeed. The level of dedication his teams display led the 18U Carolina Cardinals to the 2003, 2005 and 2006 ASA N.C. State Championships, 2003 ASA Region 4 Championship, 9th Place in the 2003 ASA National Championship, 2004 North Carolina State Games Championship, 2004 ASA Region 4 Co-Championship, 2005 ASA National Qualifier Co-Champions, 2005 South Carolina Bandits 18U Hot Time Showcase Classic Champions, 9th Place 2005 ASA Nationals, and to the 2006 USA/ASA 18U National Championship.

The Carolina Cardinals host three tournaments a year - the Early Bird Invitational held in early June, the Carolina Cardinals Classic held in late July, and the Late Summer Showcase held in mid August. The Early Bird Invitational and Late Summer Showcase tournaments are held in cooperation with the City of Rock Hill, S.C. Parks and Recreation, and Winthrop University. The Carolina Cardinals Classic is held in cooperation with the City of Raleigh Parks and Recreation. These tournaments have an abundance of collegiate coaches in attendance.
