A Carolina Cardinals Reunion

Members of the Carolina Cardinals from past and present teams came together on June 16, 2004 to challenge the United States Olympic Team. The game was played at the Renaissance Complex on Tyvola Road in Charlotte, NC. Lead by Head Coach Ray Chandler, the Carolina Cardinals played an awesome game. It was truly a great honor for us to take the field along side the United States Olympic Team.

The Carolina Cardinals would like to thank the North Carolina ASA, the ASA Charlotte Chapter, and the City of Charlotte Parks and Recreation for all of their hard work and dedication to the game of softball; and for allowing the Carolina Cardinals to play against the best softball team in the world.

The Carolina Cardinals would also like to thank Coach Aimee DeVos of UNC Charlotte and Coach Lisa Navas of North Carolina State University for helping us to prepare for this most memorable game.

Congratulations to the U.S. Olympic Team on winning the Gold Medal in the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens, Greece.
